Terri, the TPM has always been a tentative truce between different ideologies. That is why some Tea Party groups don't allow discussion of social issues. And you are right, if we can't agree on something as basic as free speech and rule of law, the TPM might have a short future. Without rule of law there is no need for the TPM.
The left have nothing to do with the division. When groups divide it can only come from within. When segments of a group start believing the end justifies the means, the end is near, especially when that group exists only because of the rule of law, the Constitution of the United States.
